Be More Technical - Be More Creative
Why learn studio lighting? Maybe you already know how to work with light because you took a speedlighting workshop (you do if you took ours). So what's the big deal about studio lights? The answer is simple, studio lighting offers you a multitude of creative possibilities. From one-light to four- or five-light complex setups, with lighting modifiers, gobos, and/or gels, you are in complete control. Plus, in an empty studio you create your image from the ground up, backgrounds, models, props, and of course lighting. From concept to realization, that's the fun of working in the studio with studio lighting. In this course you will learn the foundations of working with studio lighting and then on advancing your creativity.
In this course you will learn through hands on experience, how to:
- Develop shoot concepts and design lighting diagrams
- Set-up and operate studio strobes and modifiers
- lighting ratios
- Set dressing, table dressing, and prop styling
- Work with Models and Hair and Makeup Artists (HMUA)
- Create some stunning images

"I really appreciate all the help over the past few months during the courses! I have learned so much from you. I started with next to no knowledge about my camera & how to take a photo, but now I can confidently say that I know what I’m doing! Thanks!”
